About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager (Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit) for a small, newly founded occupational health and safety consultancy. The company is looking for its first employee in the Frankfurt region to support a long-term piping and plant construction project and help build the regional presence.
This is a hands-on, autonomous role with direct impact. You will work fully on-site on a project with 25–35 workers, shape HSE processes, and have the opportunity to build client relationships in a non-bureaucratic, owner-led start-up environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement and continuously improve HSE measures on a piping/plant construction project
Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and compliance audits (ISO 45001 / ISO 14001)
Liaise with project and site management to ensure safe workflows and regulatory compliance
Investigate incidents and near misses; implement corrective actions and maintain reporting
Design and deliver HSE trainings and briefings for blue- and white-collar staff
Develop and maintain project safety concepts and documentation
Build client relationships and identify follow-on opportunities in the region

Must-haves:
Certified Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (or recognised equivalent)
Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction-site
HSE experience
German language C1 (spoken and written)
Solid knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, accident investigation and HSE training
Proactive communication skills to enforce safety on site
Nice-to-haves:
SiGeKo qualification
Experience in pharma construction
Additional Eastern European language skills
Interest in team leadership and business development
Personality:
Positive, assertive, structured and solution-driven
Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Strong communication skills for site-level safety enforcement
